Norwalk, CT... Vectron International has introduced a series of low profile, surface mount, oven controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs) available in frequencies from 4.8 MHz to 40 MHz..

The model CO - 6000 provides exceptionally low aging rates and temperature stabilities and is packaged as a surface mount device (SMD), measuring 1" x 0.9" x 0.42" (25.4 mm x 22.0 mm x 10.3 mm).

The oscillators provide an aging rate as low as 5 x 10-10/day with temperature stabilities as high as ±5 x 10-9 over 0ºC to 50ºC. The units operate from a supply voltage of +3.3 Vdc or +5 Vdc at a stabilized power of 1 watt. Phase noise is -100 dBc/Hz at 10 Hz offset and -140 dBc/Hz at 50 Hz for AT cut crystals, and -120 dBc/Hz at 10 Hz offset and -145 dBc/Hz at 50 Hz for SC cut crystals.

The product finds application in telecommunications, data communications, frequency synthesizers, timing, navigation, telemetry and instrumentation systems.

The Vectron International group designs, manufactures and markets frequency generation and control products using the very latest techniques in both standard crystal and surface acoustic wave (SAW) based designs from DC to microwave frequencies. Products include crystals and crystal oscillators; SAW filters and components; and clock and data recovery products used in telecommunication and data communication applications.
